A Thoughtful Tuesday Post

No matter how much we work on ourselves, building resilience, practicing gratitude, repeating positive affirmations, life has a way of finding little cracks. We can set our intentions to stay positive, to not let outside noise or negativity seep in, but sometimes it still does. And that’s okay.
Being human means being affected. It means that certain words, disappointments, or unexpected turns might sting more than we’d like to admit. The truth is, feeling the weight of those moments doesn’t make us weak, it just makes us human. What matters most is not whether we’re touched by those feelings, but what we do after.
There’s a difference between acknowledging emotions and letting them take up permanent residence, something I struggled with for while, FYI. We can feel the sadness, frustration, or self-doubt without building a home for it. We can feel the heaviness, breathe through it, and then gently remind ourselves that we don’t have to stay there.
Moving forward isn’t about denying emotions, but about refusing to let them define the entire day, week, or season of our lives. It’s about remembering that feelings are visitors, they come, and eventually, they leave. Our job is to welcome them, learn from them, and then open the door to let them go.
True positivity isn’t about being untouchable and unscathed. It’s about choosing to rise and staying down for too long.
